Privacy Policy & Security

Lisle Violin Shop values your business, and we respect your right to privacy. We take measures to ensure that the sensitive information our customers provide us with is secure. The following Privacy Policy addresses the information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use the information we have collected.

What kind of information do you collect?

We will ask you for your name, address, telephone number, and email address if you purchase items online, or if you purchase larger items in one of our stores. We will collect credit or debit card information for payment for orders made in stores or online.

We will also collect this information if you wish to manage your instrument rental account online.

Renters must be able to provide a state-issued identification card, date of birth, and personal references* in addition to the information listed above.

*Your personal information is always kept private. Customers who elect to have their rental payments automatically drafted from a credit or debit card through our Autopay Option will not need to pay a deposit.  For those who select the monthly statement option, we require a deposit.  The deposit is equivalent to two months’ rental payment, and it will be included in your initial charge.

Why do you collect this information?

Some personal information must be obtained in order to provide certain services requested by our customers. Online purchases and certain purchases made in our shops may require information in order to activate any warranties, if applicable.

Rentals and other revolving charge accounts are treated as extensions of credit, which require certain valid forms of identification to protect our customers and prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions.

Do you share this information?

Lisle Violin Shop will never sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

How do you protect the information you collect?

The information you provide us with online via our order forms is protected with 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. This level of encryption is the highest available in the industry. The same technology is used to secure our in-store database.  Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, is immediately unavailable to view after your order has been processed. The information you provide us with in stores is also physically safeguarded. Any documents containing personal information are securely stored and only accessible by authorized employees.
